We chat to Jamie Moore, Co-ordinator at South Dublin County Public Participation Network, about his experience with Hidden Depth and the new website for South Dublin County Public Participation Network.

Was there any obstacles that could have prevented you from starting a new project?

Obstacles we faced included: access to funding for the project, the threat of design by committee, trying to get our message across, finding a web developer who would take the time to understand what the PPN is and what we are trying to do.

What did you find as a result of the new website?

Our membership is really happy with how our website has developed. We find other PPNs across the country admire our website. Stakeholders in our community use our website to learn more about us before getting in touch. Many of our calls come from clients who have found out about us online. We have been able to use our website to promote events, manage RSVPs through our contact forms, host our training sign-up process and the integration with salesforce that allows members to sign up online has hugely decreased our admin in the office.

What specific feature did you like most about the website?

We love the resources section, membership directory and general look and feel of the site.

What are the benefits of the new site?

Transparency for us in terms of hosting our meeting reports, consultation submissions, news – actually something we really love is members being able to submit news and files to us through the website. We have yet to populate the community supports section of the website but this will offer a further dynamic to the site.

Would you recommend Hidden Depth? If so, why?

Absolutely. Some of the best project management I have ever experienced as a client. Great communication and work process. Deliver to tight deadlines when we need it.

Is there anything you’d like to add?

I feel we are valued as a customer – which is a significant selling point for us.
